About

Jessie Fiske, Founder of Heartbox Magazine, a branch within My Change Project (MyCP) was a seed planted over a decade ago.  See, Jessie is a fixer, and she saw a problem.  Her twin sister who was trying to be published found herself on the outskirts of what mainstream magazines were looking for.  Getting that first accepted short story was a struggle, and Jessie wanted to help.

The magazine was named, the domain acquired.

While she never got the magazine off the ground - God's plan was already in motion.

Over the next decade, God's seed grew, and the vision and mission of Heartbox Magazine did as well in conjunction with the MyCP offerings.

Heartbox Magazine seeks women authors and artists whose work explores themes related to Christian beliefs, life and death experiences, overcoming challenges, finding connection, and above all - embracing hope.

What's Next

As HeartBox Magazine continues to grow, we are actively applying for grants that support emerging literary voices, arts initiatives, and creative projects.

These funds will allow us to expand opportunities for authors and artists, increase access to publishing, offer payments for their work, and further our mission of elevating stories rooted in faith, hope, and resilience.
